Abstract:
Objective Nuclear energy is a clean energy source, and its efficient utilization will greatly promote the achievement of China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. China's nuclear energy utilization is transforming from power-only generation to combined heat and power, hydrothermal cogeneration and other modes to further improve nuclear energy utilization efficiency.
Method A comparative analysis method was adopted to investigate various technical schemes for realizing combined heat and power with the steam turbine matched to ACP100. The heating system and heating capacity of each scheme were compared and analyzed.
Result The results show that all three schemes for combined heat and power using the steam turbine matched with ACP100 are feasible. Appropriate heating schemes can be selected according to different heat load and heating capacity requirements.
Conclusion Combined heat and power can be realized by the steam turbine matched with ACP100. The retrofitting scheme of the condensing steam turbine has the simplest implementation but the lowest heating capacity. The extraction condensing steam turbine delivers a medium heating capacity. The steam turbine with low-pressure cylinder zero-output operation achieves the largest heating capacity, highest nuclear energy utilization efficiency and optimal operational economy.
